The Red River Zoo opened in May 1999 on 34 acres leased through a 99-year agreement made possible by the Anderson Family's donation of land to the Fargo Park District. It is an AZA-accredited zoological facility that serves as a premier attraction for Fargo, North Dakota, and the surrounding region.
