Il nome tedesco significa "Sala delle bevute"; un tempo il nome designava il luogo in cui era possibile acquistare bevande di ogni genere, alcoliche e non. Questa fu costruita nel 1829 ed ospita oggi l'ufficio turistico di Bad Ischl.
