The Idaho Falls Idaho Temple, the first Latter-day Saint temple built in Idaho, is a striking single-spire structure adjacent to the Snake River designed by John Fetzer and completed in 1945 after delays caused by World War II. Its hand-painted celestial room mural—one of only three such murals in t
he entire church—along with its 1983 angel Moroni statue, marks it as a unique architectural and spiritual landmark.
