The ''Alter Simpl'' is a traditional restaurant not far from the university. During the early 20th century it used to be one of the main meeting points of Munich's artistic community. Since then its significance declined, but it is still a nice place to grab some decently priced food, some beers and

have a chat. Food is served until one hour before closing time.
