Scott's Bank blue plaque

Sunderland, Sunderland, England, United Kingdom

Scot's/Scott's Bank. According to Southwick folklore, this bank took its name from a Scottish army that passed this way in March 1644 during the English Civil War. Alternatively, the source of the name comes from Scott's Pottery which was established in 1789.
