It is located immediately to the east of Cemetery Junction, a major road junction in Reading. The cemetery is Grade II listed. Henley Road Cemetery is one of three cemeteries maintained

by Reading Borough Council, alongside Henley Road Cemetery and Caversham Cemetery.
