Aerial Ropeway. This ropeway was completed in 1904. Its purpose was to convey medical staff, naval patients and stores to the new Royal Navy Hospital built on the mountainside. It also served the Sanitorium on the plateau above the town. The Ropeway ceased to be used in the late 1930's.
