Castle Hill Meeting, erected in 1695, is the earliest surviving nonconformist chapel in Northampton. It was renamed after Dr. Philip Doddridge (born 1702), the eminent preacher, author, teacher and hymn writer who ministered here from 1729 until his death in 1751. The original building, much of whic
