Building work begun in 1701 by Zuccalli and continued 1719-1726 by Joseph Effner. Frenc

h architectural features are evident in the façade and the most impressive rooms are ''Großer Saal'', ''Viktoriensaal'' the ''Große Galerie''. It is worth noting, that a terrific 980 seat beer garden, ''Schlosswirtschaft Oberschleißheim'', is literally on the palace grounds.
