Mausoleum of Sultan Murat I

Mausoleum of Sultan Murat I

This object built in honour of Sultan Murat I, who was killed in the Battle of Kosovo in 1389. The building constructed in 1850, does not actually contain the remains of Sultan Murat since they have been moved to the imperial museum in Bursa, Turkey. There is little to see inside of the building; an

important of the garden is a 700 year old mulberry tree which survived from the war.
