Marmorkirken

Officially called Frederikskirken, this impressive church imposes a massive presence on the Copenhagen skyline, with its 31 m. diameter dome. Because of financial turmoil in the country, it took over 100 years to complete. The church takes it name from the original lower part of the structure which

is made from Norwegian marble. Tours to the top of the church are currently unavailable (through 2012) due to renovations.
