Kochi Dam (Japanese: 河内ダム) is an earthfill dam located in Hyōgo Prefecture, an area characterized by mountainous terrain and agricultural communities in Japan. The region experiences a mix of humid summers and cold winters, making dependable irrigation infrastructure important for local crop stabili

ty. The dam is used for irrigation and water supply. The catchment area of the dam is 2.7 km2. The dam impounds about 6 ha of land when full and can store 250 thousand cubic meters of water. The construction of the dam was started on 1978 and completed in 1985.
