James Keir Hardie, 1856‒1915. First Labour MP and First Labour Leader. Campaigner for Women’s suffrage, Workers’ emancipation, Equality and Peace. Cremated at this place on 29th September 1915. Erected by the people of Glasgow to commemorate his achievements on the centenary of his passing.
