Indian Rock Park, established in 1917, is a 1.18-acre (about 4,800 square meters) public park located on the slope of the Berkeley Hills in the Northbrae neighborhood of Berkeley, California. The park straddles Indian Rock Avenue, with the central feature being a large rock outcropping of Northbrae
rhyolite on the west side of the street. The larger portion of the park, on the east side, contains several smaller rock outcroppings, grass fields, and a small barbecue and picnic area. Visitors can climb stone steps carved into the rock to reach the summit, which offers panoramic views across the San Francisco Bay. The park is a natural climbing and recreation area, providing challenges for early-level rock climbing and bouldering. Benches, shaded areas, and grassy strips along the street offer resting spots, while the west side features smaller climbing rocks and additional green space. Oxford Street and Indian Rock Path connect the park downhill to Arlington Avenue. The park is not wheelchair accessible and is open daily from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm, unless otherwise posted. Nearby parks include Mortar Rock Park and Great Stoneface Park, both within walking distance.
