Indian Hunter

Buffalo, United States of America

A bronze figure of a boy in American Indian garb crouching over next to his dog, bow and arrow in hand, ''The Indian Hunter'' is a replica of the statue of the same name that's on display in New York City's Central Park. According to the plaque on its pink granite pedestal, Buffalo's ''Indian Hunter

'' was donated to the city in 1926 by Ella Spencer Darr in memory of her husband Marcus. The original sculpture is the work of artist John Quincy Adams Ward, and was cast in 1866.
