Honeysuckle Creek Former Space Tracking Station

The Honeysuckle Creek Tracking Station was a NASA Earth station in Australia near Canberra. It was instrumental to the Apollo program. The station was opened in 1967 and closed in 1981. Leonard Litherland helped establish Honeysuckle Creek Tracking Station in 1966, for the Moon Landing July 21, 1969

with his role as one of the mission leaders for the moon landing in 1969 as well as Team C leadership across all Apollo missions. He committed 35 years of service with NASA in Australia.
