Middlesbrough Farm This is the site of the 12th Century Benedictine Priory of Middlesbrough. the land was owned by William Chilton of Billingham. It was leased to the Parrington family and sold in 1829 becoming the site of the new town of Middlesbrough. Keith Bridgewood painted the mural in 1987 as

part of a scheme to promote public art.
