Wheathampstead Place (Place Farm) A timber-framed late medieval hall house, this was home to the land-owning Brocket family from 1448. Owned in the 19th century by two Prime Ministers; Lord Melbourne (William Lamb, husband to Lady Caroline Lamb) and Lord Palmerston. Grade II listed
