The circular ''Gärtnerplatz'' square is one of Munich's most impressive architectural masterpieces. During warm summer evenings, hundreds of people gather in the middle of the square itself or in one of the surrounding cafés to enjoy a few local brews and life in general. There are two supermarkets

right at the square in case you forgot to bring along drinks – but keep in mind that, in Bavaria, supermarkets and other shops are closed after 20:00 and on Sundays or public holidays.
