The Emily Ann and Maggie Hays nickel deposits are situated 117 km west of the town of Norseman, Western Australia, within the Lake Johnston Greenstone Belt. The mines had been operational since 2001 when Nornickel suspended mining at Emily Ann and Maggie Hays in early 2009 because of drastically fal
ling nickel prices. Poseidon Nickel acquired the Lake Johnston Nickel Project from Norlisk in 2014.
