Christopher Layer plaque

Christopher Layer of Boston lived here. He was a faithful adherent of the House of Stuart and for his loyalty to that cause suffered an ignominious death at Tyburn 17 May 1723. This tablet was placed here to perpetuate his memory Dec 1908. Be thou faithful unto death.
