THE TALBOT First mentioned in 1580 as a beerhouse. In 1616 as a drinking haunt and in 1760 as a hotel. During the Civil War Charles I ordered that Tetbury be spared from destruction indicating that the King could possibly have dined within the building. In the 18c the frontage was rebuilt and in the
