This signpost, dating from the early 1930's, originally stood at the crossroads on the B4031 south of Bloxham. The origin of the milestone is unknown, it probably dates from the creation of the Banbury to Oxford Turnpike Trust in 1755. It stood at the side of that road until the mid 1960's when the
