Dr Manning's Yard. Originally known as "Braithewaite's Yard". It was the site of a drysalters and dyestuffs business, started by Isaac Braithewaite in 1713. This contributed to Kendal's importance in the wool trade. Improved by South Lakeland District Council in 1979
