The Midland Railway built Wellingborough Station in 1857, with the buildings on Platform 1 designed by Charles Henry Driver. It is the last remaining Driver building on the Leicester to Hitchin line that remains in railway use, and is Listed Grade II. In 2021 Driver's canopies and Good Shed were res

tored in conjunction with the electrification of the line.
