Royal Hotel 1849 Built for Henry Hart, this building is one of the oldest continuously licensed hotels in Yass. The two-storey building originally had thirteen bedrooms and five parlours. By 1857 it had an impressive ballroom, billiard room and large stables. In 1858 the first telegram to Yass was r
eceived in an upstairs room.
